GEORGE P. SNEAD

George has a transactional practice that concentrates on general business and corporate matters, commercial real estate (purchases, sales, leases and financing), and wills and estates.  His clients include physicians, dentists, developers, government contractors, and large and small businesses of all types located in the Fredericksburg area and throughout Virginia.  George has been a speaker to local and regional groups on estate and business planning, and is frequently named to the “Legal Elite” in Virginia Business Magazine’s annual attorney survey.

George received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his law degree from the College of William and Mary.  After graduating from law school in 1995, he moved to Fredericksburg where he has been an active member of the community ever since.  He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, and the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association. He is a charter member of the Board of Directors of Virginia Partners Bank (Chairman 2021 – present) and he is on the Board of Partners Bancorp (Vice Chairman 2021- present). George is a member of the Fredericksburg Pathways Committee and he is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region, the Board of Directors of the YMCA Massad Branch, the Board of Directors of the Germanna Community College Educational Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Central Rappahannock Heritage Center, and the Board of Directors and of the Central Virginia Housing Coalition (where he is also an honorary lifetime Director).

He currently serves as the Commissioner of Accounts for the City of Fredericksburg and as the Assistant Commissioner of Accounts for the Counties of Caroline and Spotsylvania.
