R. Leigh Frackelton, Jr.

A Fredericksburg native, Leigh’s practice focuses exclusively in the areas of wills and trusts.

Leigh graduated in 1974 from Washington and Lee University where he majored in History. Leigh earned his law degree in 1977 from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and then went on to William and Mary where he received a Masters of Law in Taxation in 1978. He then passed the Virginia CPA exam in 1989. After finishing his formal education in 1978, Leigh began the practice of law in Fredericksburg. 

Leigh taught full time at the University of Mary Washington from 1986 to 2021 and is currently a Professor Emeritus in the College of Business. Leigh has twice received the Virginia Business Magazine award for the top accounting educators in Virginia, as voted on by CPAs.

Leigh has served on the boards of a variety of charitable organizations including as a founding member of The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region, Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Main Street (in the 1980s), Mary Washington Hospital Foundation, and Hospice Support Care, among others.
