Michael Whittaker
Michael’s practice centers on transactional law, primarily in the areas of estate planning, real
estate, and general business matters. He also handles civil litigation in the areas of real property,
estate administration, and business disputes. He worked for Parrish Snead as a Summer
Associate in 2024, and he joined Parrish Snead in September 2025 after graduating from William
&; Mary Law School.
During law school, Michael served on the Business Law Review and was selected for the
William &; Mary Transactional Law Team. He interned with the Virginia Court of Appeals and
the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Before embarking on his legal career, Michael earned a Master’s Degree in Early Modern &;
Modern European History from Marquette University. He graduated with Honors from the
University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science.
Michael also attained an Advanced Certificate in Celtic Studies while studying at the University
of Ulster and is proficient in conversational Gaeilge na hÉireann.
Michael is dedicated to working closely with clients to craft prudent and practical solutions for
their legal needs. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice in the
Commonwealth of Virginia.
